LAS VEGAS — Driven by a determination to create the best training and coaching tools in the cycling world, 4iiii Innovations has fulfilled its promise to continually enhance its product line. Viiiiva, the company’s Heart Rate Monitor and ANT+ to Bluetooth Smart sensor bridge, was launched in 2013. The company has since been enhancing Viiiiva for 2014. Free over-the-air upgradeable features will now be available to all Viiiiva users in 4Q2014.
“Viiiiva, like all of our products, is built on a platform that is continually evolving and improving. With free over-the-air upgrades it stays current and keeps increasing in function and value,” said Kip Fyfe, 4iiii Innovations CEO. “For athletes, it is like an investment in their future training!”
Viiiiva features File Saving, which will allow its users to leave their phone at home and still track their workouts by saving .FIT files. And with the newly added ANT+ Fitness Equipment Profile, athletes can bridge gym equipment workouts to their phones during the indoor season. The company’s wrist based heart rate monitor Viva Mini is expected to ship with basic heart rate functionality in 4Q14.
4iiii is pleased to announce that now Android users can take advantage of all the great features of Viiiiva. Viiiiva users will be able to access mobile account set up, firmware updates and pairing ANT+ sensors for bridging to Bluetooth Smart apps from their supported Android devices. A list of supported devices is available at Viiiiva.
4iiii Innovations is also announcing 4Q availability of Sidekick, an independent, external GPS positioning pod that is meant to offload an athlete’s phone based GPS. Sidekick’s GPS can run 6 hours continually, saving cell phone battery during long rides so riders never have to worry about being without power.
The company’s Cliiiimb app has also evolved, moving up to version 2.0 in 2014 with an updated user interface and improved features allowing athletes to take their Strava experience to the next level.
“2014 has been a busy year thus far at 4iiii Innovations!” said Fyfe. “Our engineering and design team is forever committed to providing athletes with the information they need simply and in real time. Keep tuned for exciting new product announcements.”
